It is one of the “ABCD” quartet of companies – alongside Archer Daniels Midland, Bunge and Cargill – that dominates world agricultural commodity trading.
Job Summary:
This function plays an essential role within LDC to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction while optimizing the value of each transaction. The Execution officer function is accountable for the flawless fulfillment of the execution throughout the trade to cash process including full completion of the customer file.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Along with the below-listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by her or his supervisor.
Stays fully Up to Speed on all Related Contracts
Ensures understanding of the commercial contracts assigned, vessel charter parties contractual obligations, etc.
Proactively resolves issues as they arise and escalate to managers, as needed.
Ensures all aspects of the Shipments Process and Documents Meet Contractual Obligations:
Follows up on the nomination process with shippers on a timely fashion to ensure full compliance with contractual deadlines.
Appoint third parties (freight forwarders, supervision, agents, insurance) to monitor loading operation as needed
Follow up on Pre-Shipment Sample
Follow up on daily operations to ensure cargo is loaded as per contractual obligations (weight, quality, quantity, packing, URA documentation, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure conformity of document instructions from buyers and issue shipping documentary instruction to sellers accordingly.
Ensure that documents received in the process match LDC’s contractual obligations
Ensure smooth and cost-competitive operation during loading and imports.
Proactively follow up the operations to ensure issues are dealt and resolved in a timely manner.
Maintains and update the front system:
Maintains timely and accurate updates to the front system
Maintains detailed and accurate filing documentation to ensure supporting documentation is available
Follow up on related shipments to ensure
Ensure full understanding and execution of the invoices and dispatch of documents to ensure a fast Payment Cycle:
Follows up on accounts receivable to ensure LDC is fully paid.
Reviews and follows up incoming invoices from third parties for payment.
Ensures Strict adherence with LDC policies and legal requirements:
Ensure full compliance with LDC’s internal polices and legal requirements
Ensure full compliance with the Group’s Code of Conduct
Other:
Handling the various import consignments related to our business, such as Spare parts, Jute bags and air cargo execution
Ensure complete customer and country documentation requirements up properly documented & filed
Ensure adequate exposure and guidance to increase efficiency and performance of the Execution Process
Ensure timely communication for related documentation to third parties for smooth execution of Shipments
Minimum Qualifications
1-3 years’ experience at least in a similar function
Experience in international trades (preferably in the agricultural industry) with exposure to international contract terms of coffee preferred is a valuable advantage including knowledge of international payment instruments, current banking & trade practices
Skills
Knowledge and ability to use computers and related technology including computer skills eg word processing, managing computer files, and creating presentations.
Advanced computer skills include managing databases and running calculations in MS Excel spreadsheets etc.
Effective communication with third parties and all internal stakeholders
Good aptitude for numbers, analysis, and excellent attention to detail
Highly organized and self-motivated
Strong team-player
Ability to work under pressure
Eagerness to learn
Proactivity, ability to anticipate and avoid problems
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Team player

Bachelor degrees (International Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration or related area)
