USAID/SITES oversees the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) aspects of the HIV and Family Health for the USAID supported implementing partners. This includes the DREAMS (Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe) and Key and priority Populations. DREAMS and KP/PP programs aim at reducing HIV vulnerability in these special groups.
Job Summary:
The Communications/Rapporteur consultant will support the SITES project team to facilitate workshops, high-level meetings, and learning events.
Period of engagement:
This engagement will be on an ad hoc-basis (when the need arises/work is required). The engagement is full-time on a full workday, full workweek terms. Each working day will be made up of 8 hours. The consultant must commit to being available when called upon even at short notice to provide technical support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The consultant will provide the following support to the meetings and workshops:
- Actively participating in the event activity planning processes.
- Facilitate meetings.
- Take complete notes of the proceedings in plenary discussions.
- Consolidate notes/recordings captured during the meetings/workshops.
- Compile draft report for input by all key stakeholders.
- Compile final report.
Key Deliverables:
- Draft report for input by all key stakeholders.
- Final report.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Public Health and/or Communications for Development or related field.
- At least two years of facilitation of high-level meetings, workshops, or learning events.
- Previous work experience with a USG funded activity – at least 2 years.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of health and HIV programming is an added advantage.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with rapid turnaround of work products.
